BIO

Saleh Aldasouqi, MD, FACE, ECNU, received his MBBS (MD) degree from Jordan University School of Medicine in 1984. He completed Internal Medicine residency at Hurley Medical Center (Co-Chief Resident) in Flint, MI (MSU) in 1994, followed by Endocrinology fellowship (Chief Fellow) at Indiana University in Indianapolis, IN, in 1996. After postgraduate training, Dr. Aldasouqi started his endocrine career in 1996 at the Endocrinology Associates Private Practice in Cape Girardeau, MO (as a junior associate of Dr. Daniel Duick, a nationally renowned thyroid expert and co-founder of the American College of Endocrinology’s Neck Ultrasound Educational Program). He has then worked in both private practice and academia, in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) and the USA. Dr. Aldasouqi began his affiliation with MSU in 2004, as a Clinical Assistant Professor (Flint Campus).

Dr. Aldasouqi has been active in teaching, clinical and research, accumulating several scholarly achievements. He has held several administrative and leadership positions at prior and current jobs. He developed or modernized thyroid and diabetes centers during his work in Missouri, Saudi Arabia, and Michigan (Sparrow and MSU). At MSU, in collaboration with Dr. Ved Gossain, Dr. Aldasouqi co-founded the MSU’s Endocrine Fellowship Program, formerly serving as the Fellowship’s Associate Program Director, and now as the Fellowship’s Program Director. Dr. Aldasouqi served as the Endocrine Division’s Acting Chief as of 2012, and was assigned as the Division’s Chief in January, 2015.
