Dr. Ade Olomu has been appointed by the Dean as a Co-Faculty Excellence Advocate (Co-FEA) with Dr Wanda Lipscomb. FEAs are appointed within the Office of the Provost to take on specific leadership, education, and advocacy drives in promoting a culture of excellence and inclusion across their colleges. As a link between the College Dean's Office and the departments, FEAs provide input, guidance, and resources across the college in an effort to build a high quality and diverse faculty.

Trinh Tran received the MSU Jack Breslin Distinguished Staff Award. Tran has gone beyond the call of duty to provide quality patient care. She is the clinic coordinator for the MSU Department of Medicine. more

Heather S. Laird-Fick, M.D. was elected to the Association of Program Directors in Internal Medicine (APDIM) Council for a three-year term beginning in July 2016.

Daniel Havlichek, Jr., M.D., professor of medicine and microbiology and chief of the division of infectious disease, is one of the 2016 inductees into Sparrow’s Physician Hall of Fame.

Adesuwa B. Olomu, M.D. received the Community Engagement Scholarship Award at the MSU Awards Convocation.
