BIO
Dr. Joshi attended medical school at Nepalgunj Medical College (Kathmandu University), Nepal and graduated in September 2004. He completed his master’s level training in Internal Medicine (focused on clinical research in Cardiology) from Shanghai Fudan Medical University, China before moving to the USA. Before starting residency training in Internal Medicine in Wyckoff Heights Medical Center, Brooklyn NYC Dr. Joshi worked on a research project focusing on reduction of readmission (Project RED). He later completed Fellowship in Nephrology from One Brooklyn Health, New York City.
In July 2020, Dr. Joshi joined Guthrie Medical Group in Pennsylvania as a Teaching Hospitalist, where he also served as Chief Hospitalist for five years. He enjoys teaching medical students and residents and have completed faculty development certification programs through Mayo Clinic and Stanford University. Because of the extensive experience in cross-cultural care and educational leadership, Dr. Joshi joined MSU as Assistant Professor of Medicine in division of Internal Medicine in September 2025.
Although specialized in kidney disease, Dr. Joshi enjoys working as a Primary care physician emphasizing in preventive health and health maintenance.
