Featuring Kristen Upson, PhD, MPH presenting "Toxic metals and women's health: Novel correlates of blood lead and cadmium levels in reproductive-age women"

Objectives:
• Discuss how reproductive-age women may be disproportionately exposed to toxic metals lead and cadmium

• Describe the hypothesized mechanisms by which factors, common and unique to reproductive-age women, that may increase toxic metal body burden

• Present new results from the Study of Environment, Lifestyle & Fibroids (SELF), an epidemiologic study of reproductive-age African-American women recruited from the Detroit metropolitan area
